Cranberry French Toast If you're looking for something new and sweet |
| 1 | loaf challah (or other yeast egg bread) |
| 1 | (8 ounce) package light cream cheese |
| 1 | cup sugar (or Splenda) |
| 1-1/2 | cups fresh or frozen cranberries (or strawberries) |
| 1/4 | cup butter |
| 4 | eggs |
| 1/2 | cup whole milk |
| 1. | Slice challah bread into thick pieces. |
| 2. | Combine the cream cheese, sugar, and cranberries together. |
| 3. | Cut a pocket into bread and stuff cream cheese mixture inside. |
| 4. | Melt butter over medium heat in a skillet. |
| 5. | Beat eggs and milk together in a large bowl. |
| 6. | Dip stuffed bread into egg mixture, coating both sides. |
| 7. | Place bread in skillet and cook 1 to 2 minutes on each side until golden bown. |
