Cranberry French Toast

Cranberry French Toast

If you're looking for something new and sweet
for breakfast, then this tasty treat is perfect!
Stuffed with fruit and surrounded by delicious
French toast, this is sure to satisfy your sweet
tooth and your appetite!


Makes 4 servings

INGREDIENTS:
1 loaf challah (or other yeast egg bread)
1 (8 ounce) package light cream cheese
cup sugar (or Splenda)
1-1/2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries (or strawberries)
1/4 cup butter
eggs 
1/2  cup whole milk 
   
DIRECTIONS:
1. Slice challah bread into thick pieces.
2. Combine the cream cheese, sugar, and cranberries together.
3. Cut a pocket into bread and stuff cream cheese mixture inside.
4. Melt butter over medium heat in a skillet.
5. Beat eggs and milk together in a large bowl.
6. Dip stuffed bread into egg mixture, coating both sides. 
7. Place bread in skillet and cook 1 to 2 minutes on each side until golden bown.
