Simple Spareribs

Ribs made simple? Sign me up! This is the very basic
recipe for ribs that will teach you the art of grilling!

 

 

Makes 6 servings.

INGREDIENTS:
slabs pork spareribs, about 6 lbs total 
tbsp vegetable oil 
  Kosher salt 
  Coarse black pepper 
 
DIRECTIONS:
1.  Prepare fire for indirect-heat cooking in a covered grill. 
2.  Rub ribs with vegetable oil and season both sides with salt and pepper. 
3.  Place ribs, not overlapping, over indirect heat on grill. Close grill hood and cook ribs
  NOT directly over coals for 1½ hours, until ribs are very tender. 
4.  In final minutes of grilling, baste ribs with barbeque sauce. Cut and serve ribs with 
  remaining sauce on the side.
