Summertime Spaghetti Sauce
This is a deluxe spaghetti sauce unlike any that you've ever tasted before. With zesty peppers and spices, you have to try this delicious twist on the classic spaghetti sauce recipe!

Makes 5 cups
INGREDIENTS:

Italian sausage links (4 oz each)
1
tbsp olive oil
3  
medium onions, chopped
small green pepper, chopped

cups chopped seeded peeled tomatoes (about 8 medium)
1
jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
1
tbsp brown sugar
1
tbsp Italian seasoning
1¼  
tsp salt
¼
tsp pepper
  hot cooked pasta
  Parmesan cheese

DIRECTIONS:
1.  Remove casings from sausage; cut sausage into 1" pieces. In a large skillet, brown
 
sausage over medium heat. Drain and set aside. Heat oil in the same skillet; add
 
onions and green pepper. Cook and stir until tender.

Add the tomatoes, jalapeno, brown sugar, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Return sausage to the pan. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 12-15 minutes or until
  meat is no longer pink and sauce is thickened.
